Seattle Favorites

Restaurants

These are our favorite restaurants in Seattle, so if you have the time, give them a try!

UMI SAKE HOUSE
Our favorite sushi spot in Seattle, amongst many great ones. Order the kanpachi nigiri and the dragonfly roll (even though it's not on the menu).

DIN TAI FUNG
This and Umi are probably our two favorite restaurants in Seattle. It's a Taiwanese restaurant with incredible dumplings. We like the chicken dumlings, garlic green beans, spicy noodles, shanghai rice cakes and pork xiaolongbao. There are multiple locations, so check for the nearest one.

MANOLIN
Fantastic, modern, seafood-forward restaurant. The rockfish ceviche blew Danielle's mind the first time we went, and we've been back many times since.

TAVOLATA
Fresh pasta from a cornerstone Seattle chef, Ethan Stowell. Try the tonnarelli or the pappardelle.
Fun fact: I (Jordan) went to dinner here with Danielle's mom and Dave to ask for their blessing to marry her.

Experiences

Here are some fun activities and experiences in Seattle if you have time to explore.

WOODINVILLE WINERIES
Columbia winery is one of many in Woodinville. We suggest you try a few others in the area, our favorites are:
Chateau Ste. Michelle - A beautiful property and the most well known winery in Woodinville.
Januik - A more modern winery with some lovely wines.

CHIHULY GARDEN AND GLASS
An exhibit in Seattle Center showcasing the glass work of Dale Chihuly - and the location of one of our first dates.
Open until 8:30pm Monday - Thursday and 9:30pm Friday - Sunday

PIKE PLACE MARKET
A Seattle institution. Go here to check out the fresh fish and flowers. There are also some really good breweries like Cloudburst, Old Stove, and Rachel's Ginger Beer.

MARINERS GAME AT TMOBILE PARK
The Mariners may not be very good, but tickets are cheap and food at the stadium is great (try Paseo, Sultan of Sandwich or Ballard Pizza Co).
